Expectations and Concerns about the Collection and Use of Personal Information : Considerations from the Results of the Web Survey

Published:16 October 2023Publication History

ABSTRACT

It is said that we are currently in the era of big data. While expectations for data are rising, concerns about the use of personal data, such as consumer behavior history, are being pointed out. In order to clarify these realities, a number of awareness surveys have been conducted. In this proceeding, we report on the results of a web-based survey conducted to clarify the relationship between the degree of concern and expectations regarding the use of personal data and the factors considered important in the so-called right to control.
