ABSTRACT

This research is based on the theory of geographic location and uses a combination of Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish an evaluation framework for the site selection of Healing Parks. The research applies geographic information system (GIS) and conducts empirical research in Nantun District, Taichung City. The research examines the site selection indicators from three dimensions: environmental, socio-economic, and policy. The quantitative results of AHP weight values show that park accessibility (0.41), surrounding age structure (0.19), park area (0.13), and distance to public transportation (0.11) are the top four important evaluation indicators. Taking the existing parks in Nantun District as an example, the research calculates the priority order of Healing Parks site selection as Nanyuan Park (3.94) > Fengle Sculpture Park (3.72) > Wenxin Forest Park (3.56). Although there is room for improvement in the evaluation indicator system, this research provides decision-makers with decision-making references, enhances social welfare, promotes the development of healing, and enriches the research content and methods of related disciplines.
