What do Portuguese-Libras automatic translation application users care about? An analysis of user comments to improve application accessibility by the quality assurance team

Published: 06 January 2024 Publication History

Abstract

This article discusses the analysis of user comments in an automatic translation application from Portuguese to Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The research aimed to provide feedback to developers and the testing team based on user comments in virtual stores. The analysis followed the MALTU methodology, evaluating interaction in social systems through users’ textual language. Comments were extracted and classified manually and automatically, with criteria based on the software quality team’s usage. Positive feedback indicated the system’s acceptance and contribution to deaf individuals’ accessibility. Continuous analysis of user comments is emphasized for ensuring long-term user satisfaction and tool quality.
