Developing E-learning Software using Finite Element Technology to Enhance Engineering Mechanics Education: a Case Study

Published:26 December 2023Publication History

ABSTRACT

E-learning software development is a frontier technology in education, requiring both software development expertise and a thorough understanding of classroom teaching requirements. This paper proposes the use of finite element technology (FET) and C# language to develop E-learning software aimed at enhancing the quality of classroom instruction. By establishing a finite element model for stress concentration and conducting server-based calculations, we obtain extensive data, including color nephograms. These digital materials are then integrated into the existing teaching content, resulting in the development of E-learning software using the C# language. The teaching quality is evaluated using the software's built-in evaluation system. The findings demonstrate that FET-based digital teaching resources significantly improve the quality of classroom instruction. The color nephograms provide an intuitive visualization that aids students’ comprehension of abstract concepts and complex formulas while increasing their enthusiasm for learning.
