Multi-rated Real-time Stimulation for Direct-Driven Wind Power System Based on CPU-FPGA

Published: 09 December 2023 Publication History

Abstract

Real-time simulation technology is important for the research on grid connection of direct-driven wind power system. With the continuous trend of power electronic technology to high frequency and the increasing number of power electronic devices in power system, the need for the step of real-time simulation technology has reached sub-microsecond, and the traditional real-time simulation platform based on multi-core central processing unit (CPU) cannot meet their needs any longer. It is an effective means to solve this problem by using of field programmable gate array (FPGA) to build a real-time simulation platform. To reduce the resource occupation of FPGA hardware and simplify the difficulty of platform construction, the permanent magnet direct-driven fun system is cut and remolded, a joint real-time simulation platform is built with CPU and FPGA, and the data interaction of asynchronous communication is optimized. The feasibility and accuracy of the scheme are verified by comparing the results of real-time simulation and Simulink off-line simulation.
