Research on Three-Impulse Control System of Boiler Drum Water Level Based on PCS7

Published:29 April 2024Publication History

ABSTRACT

As an important part of boiler, the stability of water level determines the combustion quality and equipment safety of the whole boiler system. As for drum water level, it affects whether its water level is maintained at normal water level, feed water flow, superheated steam outlet flow and boiler combustion system, among which the main influencing factors are feed water flow and superheated steam outlet flow. Aiming at these two main influencing factors, the three-impulse control system is controlled by PLC as the main controller and PID regulation. In order to get closer to the engineering practice, this study selects SMPT-1000 (Advanced Multi-functional process control training System) as the experimental platform. In the SIMATIC PCS7 process control system of this platform, a three-impulse control scheme of drum water level is designed, and the three-impulse control system is compared with the two-impulse control system. The adjustment time of the three impulses is shorter than that of the former, which proves that the response speed of the control system is faster.
