ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of robot assisted unilateral biportal endoscopic technique (UBE) in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). Methods: A case of lumbar spinal stenosis was treated with UBE assisted by robot. The visual analysis scale (VAS) and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were used to evaluate the surgical efficacy and surrounding muscle tissue damage before and after surgery. Evaluate the accuracy of pedicle screw placement using the Gertzbein Robbins standard. Result: Compared with preoperative, postoperative VAS score and ODI index were significantly reduced. There is less damage to peripheral muscle tissue. Three days after surgery, X-ray and CT scans showed accurate positioning and effective internal fixation within the fusion cage. Conclusion: Robot assisted UBE surgery has significant advantages in fusion rate, accuracy, and safety. It is an effective surgical method for treating LSS patients.
