Terminal-Cloud Computing Power Collaboration Secure Surveillance System in Indoor Environments

Published: 23 May 2024 Publication History

Abstract

With a variety of widely distributed sensors and the rapid development of the Internet-of-Things makes it easy to monitor and track events in real-time. Besides, the wide selection of web services offered on the cloud enables diverse features and capabilities, which can be utilized to accomplish complex tasks remotely with great proficiency. However, cost and data transfer latency limit the application of cloud computing. In this paper, we propose a terminal-cloud computing power collaboration system, which is composed of cameras with OpenHarmony OS and cloud services. The terminal device can detect in real time and trigger recording and data uploading, while the cloud application can realize accurate prediction based uploaded data. A computing power balance is also realized by dividing image processing tasks. Experiments are carried out to validate the system architecture.
