ABSTRACT
USBL have been widely used in underwater operations. Firstly, the principle of ultra short baseline positioning is introduced. The signal processing process of the ultra-short baseline positioning system is provided. Then, signal waveform based on COSTAS frequency hopping signal is designed. Frequency hopping signal model is provided. The time and frequency resolution capabilities of the signal is analyzed. Finally, correlation simulation analysis is conducted on 4 COSTAS frequency hopping signals. The simulation results show that the COSTAS frequency hopping signal has good autocorrelation and cross correlation characteristics, and can be used as a signal waveform for ultra-short baseline positioning multi-target.

Frequency hopping with multi-H CPM (MIL-STD-188-181B)
MILCOM'03: Proceedings of the 2003 IEEE conference on Military communications - Volume IIMulti-h CPM waveforms have been primarily used in satellite communications (MIL-STD-188-181B). In recent years, multi-h CPM has been getting more attention for use in a line of site (LOS) mode of operation. To improve the effectiveness of multi-h CPM ...
Message-driven frequency hopping: design and analysis
This paper considers spectrally efficient frequency hopping (FH) system design. Relying on time-frequency diversity over large spectrum, FH systems are robust against hostile jamming interference. However, the spectral efficiency of existing FH systems ...
Parameter estimation of frequency hopping signal based on MWC–MSBL reconstruction
Aiming at the problem that single‐network hopping signals have not fully utilised its frequency domain sparse characteristic in the parameter estimation, this study proposes a parameter estimation of frequency hopping (FH) signal based on multi‐...
