A method for flexible transmission based on FlexE granularityFlexE granularity for flexible transmissionBased on 1G, 1.25G and 5G granularity allocation

Abstract

In recent years, the video service has been booming, gradually evolving into the main business of operators, and with it, the demand for traffic and bandwidth has further expanded. Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) technology is proposed to meet such needs, this technology can play an important role in the development of the network process, to bring users a better Internet experience. On the basis of 5G granularity in FlexE protocol, this paper proposes a calculation method for the number of time slots equally applicable to 1G and 1.5G granularity, and introduces an application-oriented time slot allocation process to achieve reasonable time slot number allocation, so as to realize the flexible transmission of Ethernet services.
