Design of battery management system based on wireless communication

Published: 31 July 2024 Publication History

Abstract

Batteries are energy storage devices to ensure emergency power supply for locomotives. Their function and state are related to the safe operation of trains. This paper proposes a battery management system based on the safe use of batteries in the railway industry. The traditional wired battery management system has complicated wiring, and there are risks of cable short circuit and open circuit. The traditional wired battery management system has complicated wiring, and there are risks of cable short circuit and open circuit during use. scheme of battery online monitoring system based on Zigbee wireless communication; In addition to the conventional voltage, current, temperature and In addition to the conventional voltage, current, temperature and SOC monitoring functions, the system also realizes the non-contact minimum liquid level detection function that can be installed on the outer surface of The designed wireless battery management system can make fault judgments on the battery through direct minimum liquid level monitoring or The designed wireless battery management system can make fault judgments on the battery through direct minimum liquid level monitoring or indirect voltage and temperature abnormal monitoring and can achieve 5% accuracy of remaining capacity estimation.
