Peak shaving control of electric vehicle clusters based on V2G technology

Published: 31 July 2024 Publication History

Abstract

Taking the "peak shaving and valley filling" of electric vehicles as the research object, with a single electric vehicle connected to the grid as the starting point, a "bidirectional DC/DC" and AC/DC system are constructed, and corresponding control strategies are provided. Then, a V2G system simulation model is constructed. Under two different operating modes of the "charging" and "discharging" systems of electric vehicles, simulation analysis is conducted on the "charging" and "discharging" modes to verify the constructed "G2V" The V2G system can be chosen by users independently, ensuring bidirectional energy flow while meeting the requirements of grid connection. Utilizing an improved PSO algorithm to perform peak shaving and valley filling in the power system, in order to reduce the load and charging and discharging costs of the power system. As the number of users increases, this impact will become increasingly significant.
