Intelligent Medicine Box Monitoring System Based on ZigBee Technology

Published: 31 July 2024 Publication History

Abstract

With the rapid development of the medical industry, the quality and safety of pharmaceuticals during cold chain transportation has become a focus of attention. In this paper, a smart medicine box monitoring system based on Zig Bee technology is proposed, aiming to improve the safety and traceability of medicines in cold chain transportation. The system realizes real-time monitoring of the environmental conditions inside the medicine box as well as accurate tracking of the location of the medicine by integrating temperature and humidity sensors, GPS module and Raspberry Pi controller. In addition, combined with a high-resolution camera and Open CV image processing technology, the system provides an efficient authentication mechanism. On the software side, we developed applications and user interfaces for data processing to support real-time monitoring, historical querying and user management of data. The design of this system focuses on ease of use, reliability and scalability, providing a comprehensive solution for the cold chain transportation of medical drugs. Experimental results show that the system can effectively improve the safety and management efficiency of medicines during transportation.
