Research on the Market Scale of New Energy Vehicles in the Central AutomobileProvince of Hubei Based on Data Analysis

Published: 15 October 2024 Publication History

Abstract

In recent years, as the country attaches importance to environmental protection and energy transition, new energy vehicles are more and more favored by consumers, and the market shows a trend of high growth. Hubei province is an important automobile base in China. By analyzing the relevant policies, promotion and application, and infrastructure of new energy vehicles in Hubei province, it is concluded that there are many development policies related to new energy vehicles in Hubei province, such as exemption from auto-purchase tax, subsidies for electricity service fees, preferential parking fees, and the unlimited number of roads, and the focus of policy application and promotion is embodied in purely electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. Comparing the development of two key cities, Wuhan and Xiangyang, it is found that the market scale and supporting facilities of new energy vehicles in Wuhan are generally better than those in Xiangyang, but Xiangyang also has a good performance, showing vigorous vitality and broad space for development. Finally, three targeted policy recommendations have been proposed: continue to promote the development of core technology, vigorously develop basic supporting facilities, and reduce costs to build industrial scale.
