Published: 01 July 1988 Publication History

Abstract

For several years, Naomi Sager and her group at NYU have been conducting research in natural language processing and applying that research to medical applications. This book, Medical Language Processing: Computer Management of Narrative Data, is basically a status report on the many facets of their project, the Linguistic String Project (LSP). The book contains chapters covering the various sub-fields of a natural language processing system and were written by the members of the project who are currently researching the related issues.
