ABSTRACT
This paper describes a new technique developed to test the quality of dial-up computer lines. The normal telephone system tests cannot normally be used to evaluate these dial-up lines because of the short duration of an unanswered "answer" signal at the computer site. An analysis is given of the rationale and advantage of the technique developed for this purpose.
