Abstract

In the paper we use the sequential study approach to empirical software engineering to research a novel idea about assessing the intellectual energy built into the software products. The study showed that we can use product of Function Points and α metric to calculate both the intellectual energy reflected in the software and the intellectual energy spend during the software design.
