BOOK REVIEW: Cognitive Science and Its Applications for Human-Computer Interaction. Ed. by Raymonde Guindon (LEA NJ, 1988)

Published: 02 January 1989 Publication History

Abstract

The goal of this book, as stated in Raymonde Guindon's introduction, is to highlight the multidisciplinary nature of research on human-computer interaction by showing that different methodologies can be used to investigate similar questions and that different questions can be investigated with similar methodologies. This goal is met by the chapters selected for this book. Beyond meeting this goal, Guindon's book makes other points that we feel are significant; it also misses points that we would like to see emphasized more.
