Abstract
A new multiprocessor configuration that exploits process-level parallelism is proposed. The objective is to define a configuration for next generation multiprocessor systems. The new configuration is a direct result of careful examination of the aspects of physical and system design and the development of integrated circuit technology. The new configuration eliminates the major problems that limit the expansion capability of the conventional configurations and thus paves the path toward higher performance systems.
