Abstract

"The finest words in the world are only vain sounds if you cannot understand them." Anatole FranceThere are several different interpretations of what "computer architecture" is, and what the phrase means. An informal survey of professionals who routinely deal with computers was conducted to determine better the perceived meaning of "computer architecture". From this I hoped to identify potential areas of misunderstanding when discussing the various aspects of computer architecture.
