ABSTRACT
Having a good image is important for a computing center. Unfortunately we often restrict ourselves to parochial methods, such as newsletters and online help systems, to promote our services to the faculty. By doing so we communicate well with those who already use our facilities and poorly, if at all, with those who are unaware of what we offer. These methods are also inconvenient for faculty because they have to make the effort to come to us: to read our newsletter, to call our help line, to check our online schedule, etc. By placing the burden for communication on the faculty we effectively discourage them from interacting with us.
